We are delighted Waltham Forest council planning committee has rejected the UCKG’s proposal to convert the building to church use. We believe its restoration as an entertainment venue is key to the regeneration of the area.

  • The feasibility report commissioned by Waltham Forest council outlines a range of exciting possibilities for restoring the cinema as a multi-purpose entertainment venue.
  • In Spring 2011 the Waltham Forest Cinema Trust, a not-for-profit company, was launched with the aim of acquiring the building. It is in discussion with the council and with English Heritage to explore options. Walthamstow MP Stella Creasy comments on the launch of the Trust here.
