UCKG’s plans rejected unanimously

At a heated planning meeting, all seven councillors on Waltham Forest’s planning committee united to reject the UCKG’s latest plans for a church/cinema hybrid at the EMD. More in the Waltham Forest Guardian.

The UCKG will now Appeal this decision along with the previous plans rejected last year. The provisional date for this Appeal hearing is November, when the national government’s planning inspectorate will decide whether to overrule Waltham Forest Council’s decisions.

We’ll keep you posted on how you can help ensure the planning inspectorate understands the opposition to UCKG’s plans and potential damage they will cause regeneration hopes for Walthamstow.

In the meantime, a very big THANK YOU to all supporters!

I thank you for taking time and effort in taking this challenge on. I remember using this cinemas as a child and have very fond memories of using it with my friends and family. I wish to see it restored back to its former glory a cinema showing block busters, so my son can go and can have fim memories too!!!

    Thank you
